Mission Trip to El Salvador 2012

Hi everyone once again!

We are so thrilled and thankful for the opportunity to go down to El Salvador once again! The Lord is quite great and loving with us. One thing that we must all remember is the privilege that we have to serve the Lord. His work shall never be done just because we are forced or asked to do something but it should be out of love and thirst for the Lord. We are not the ones that make the difference but our Father who works through us. Thank you for being part of our experience and for your prayers :)

Fortunately, God has blessed us with the opportunity of working with Youth for Christ (Juventud para Cristo) in El Salvador again. Last time we were there, the Lord opened many doors for the team in El Salvador and many pastors, churches, youth, etc, wanted to get involved with YFC and the government has also allowed the team to work in public schools which is a huge blessing! God taught us A LOT during our last trip such as learning to adjust to the culture, have the Holy Spirit guide us and growing as a community. We have been doing a lot of preparation in working as a team and growing in Christ as well as preparing for the talks that we will be doing in schools. Although we are not really allowed to evangelize, we are allowed to share our testimonies and how the Lord has worked in our lives.

We will be traveling down for two weeks again (August 11-26) and will be staying in San Salvador, El Salvador as well. We will update the blog as often as possible. We will be visiting schools, communities, churches and having a lot of interaction with the youth and children. We really hope to build a lot of relationships with the youth or children who we will meet during our trip, growing as a body, a family, a community in order to learn a lot through each other and learn to work as a team.

Prayer requests:
- Safe trip and that everything goes as God has planned it already
- Obedience to God, the Holy Spirit and His Son.
- Not be selfish or self-centered but to always look for ways to serve people the way the Lord tells us to do so
- Always go to the Lord for counsel, guidance, strength
- Trust Him in whatever happens because He knows us better and everything has a purpose
- For the youth to have open hearts
- For willingness to learn the language and for it to not be an obstacle

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! We thank the Lord so much!
In Christ,
